Resolution Rules
Configure auto-approval delays, credit fallback, extra credit, and rounding options for claim resolutions.
Resolution Rules
Resolution rules control how approved warranty claims are resolved — including automation, credit fallback, bonus credit, and rounding.
Auto Approve Claims
Default: Off
When enabled, claims are automatically approved without manual review. You can set an optional delay to give your team a review window before approval takes effect.
| Delay Option | Description |
|---|---|
| None | Approved immediately |
| 1-6 Days | Approved after the specified number of days |
| 1 Week | Approved after 1 week |
| 2 Weeks | Approved after 2 weeks |
| 1 Month | Approved after 1 month |
Auto Issue Claim Credit as Fallback
Default: Off
When enabled, if a replacement product is unavailable (out of stock, discontinued), the system automatically issues store credit for the product’s value instead.
Issue Extra Credit
Default: Off
When enabled, every approved claim includes an additional fixed credit amount beyond the product value. This acts as a goodwill gesture.
Enter any positive dollar amount (e.g., $5.00, $10.00). The extra credit is added on top of the standard claim value.
Rounding Options
Default: Off
When enabled, credit amounts are rounded up to the nearest selected increment:
| Rounding Value | Example: $47.83 becomes |
|---|---|
| $1 | $48.00 |
| $10 | $50.00 |
| $50 | $50.00 |
| $100 | $100.00 |
Rounding always rounds up to ensure the customer receives at least the full product value.
Recommended Configurations
Hands-off automation: Auto-approve with a 2-day delay, credit fallback on, $5 extra credit, round to nearest $1.
Manual review: All toggles off. Every claim requires manual review and approval.
