Configure warranty display on order status, thank-you pages, and customer accounts.

Shopify Order Extensions

Shopify Admin → Settings → Checkout → Customize

Umbrella provides three extensions that display warranty information after the purchase is complete. These appear on the thank-you page, order status page, and within the customer account area.


Order Line Item

Displays warranty policy details next to purchased products on the customer account order status page.

  • Where it appears: After each line item on the customer order status page
  • What it shows: Protection status text, warranty name and duration, expiration date
  • Customer actions: “View Policy” and “File a Claim” buttons (both configurable)
  • Configure in: Shopify checkout editor → Order status page → select “Order Line Items” extension

Thank You Page

Offers warranty upsells on the order confirmation page for products that were not covered at checkout.

  • Where it appears: After each line item on the thank-you page
  • What it does: Shows an “Add Protection” button that opens a new checkout with the warranty pre-added
  • Display modes: Compact (button only) or expanded (image, title, price, description)
  • Configure in: Shopify checkout editor → Thank you page → select “Thank You Page” extension
Note The Thank You Page extension creates a new checkout link with the warranty pre-added. This is a separate transaction from the original order.

Policies Page

Adds a dedicated warranty management page to the customer account area where customers can view all their warranty policies, check status, and file claims.

  • Where it appears: As a new page in the customer account navigation
  • What it shows: All warranty policies across all orders, with status (active, expired, pending)
  • Customer actions: View policy details, file a claim
  • Configure in: Shopify checkout editor → Customer account → select “Policies Page” extension

How These Extensions Work Together

  1. Thank You Page — Offers a second chance to add warranty protection right after purchase
  2. Order Status — Shows existing warranty coverage and provides claim/policy buttons on each order
  3. Policies Page — Central hub for all warranties across all orders in the customer account
