Understanding the Umbrella dashboard home screen, stats, charts, and pending claims.
Dashboard Home
The dashboard home screen gives you a real-time overview of your warranty program: key metrics, trend charts, and pending claims that need attention.
Page Sections
- Quick Start Guide — Onboarding progress (visible until setup is complete). See Quick Start Guide.
- Dashboard Stats — KPI cards, time period selector, and trend charts
- Pending Claims Table — Claims awaiting your review
Time Period Selector
Use the tabs at the top of the stats section to filter all metrics and charts:
- Last 24 Hours
- Last 7 Days (default)
- Last 30 Days
Stat Cards
Six metric cards are displayed in two rows.
Activity metrics:
| Metric | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Warranties Sold | Number of warranty policies sold in the selected period |
| Claims Approved | Number of claims approved in the selected period |
| Claims Denied | Number of claims denied in the selected period |
Financial metrics:
| Metric | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Warranties Revenue | Total revenue from warranty sales |
| Claims Cost | Total cost of approved claims |
| Net Profit | Revenue minus claims cost |
Each card includes a change indicator comparing to the previous equivalent period. Green with an upward arrow means an increase; red with a downward arrow means a decrease.
Charts
Two line charts appear below the stat cards.
- Revenue Over Time (left) — Plots warranty revenue per day (or per hour in the 24-hour view). Hover over data points to see exact values.
- Warranties & Claims Over Time (right) — Overlays warranties sold and claims filed on the same chart, so you can compare volume at a glance.
Pending Claims Table
This table shows all claims with a “Pending” status. To review a claim:
- Click the claim row to view full details
- Review the submitted evidence and description
- Approve or deny the claim
- The claim moves out of the pending table
To see all claims (not just pending), go to the full Claims page.
Sample Data
New organizations see sample data on the dashboard until the first warranty is sold. A blue banner indicates when you are viewing sample data. It is permanently replaced once real data is recorded.
