Manage warranty policy instances and track their lifecycle
Policies
A policy is a single warranty instance tied to an order line item. Policies are created automatically when a customer purchases a warranty at checkout, accepts a post-purchase offer, or registers a product.
Policies List
A paginated table of all warranty policy instances. Each row shows the policy ID, warranty name, status, protected product, order number, creation date, and a Review action.
Export to CSV
Click Export CSV to open the export modal. Filter by:
- Date range — start and end dates
- Date fields — Created Date, Cancelled Date, and/or Expired Date
- Status — Active, In Review, Pending Registration, Expired, Cancelled, Depleted
Policy Statuses
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Active | Coverage is currently in effect |
| In Review | A claim is being evaluated |
| Pending Registration | Waiting for product registration before activation |
| Expired | Coverage period has ended |
| Cancelled | Policy was cancelled before expiration |
| Depleted | All coverage benefits have been used |

Click Review on any policy to open the full detail view.
Warranty Details
The warranty plan name, ID, and policy status.
Associated Claim
If a claim has been filed, it appears with its current status and resolution details.
Order Information
The Shopify order that generated this policy, including all line items with product images.
How Policies Are Created
Policies are created automatically when:
- A customer purchases a warranty product at checkout
- A customer accepts a post-purchase warranty offer
- A warranty is applied through product registration
You do not create policies manually.
